Biography:
John Lockie has been a Family & Primary Care Physician for over 40 years.
An experienced and qualified board certified primary care physician, Dr. Lockie received his medical degree from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He completed his externship in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Lockie is a member of the California Medical Association, is Board Certified and has a Fellowship with the Canadian College of Family Physicians and is board certified with The American Academy of Family Practice. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Lockie relocated to Vancouver, British Columbia where he completed a one-year rotating internship. Thereafter, he was associated with a family practice group, Barner, Kaye, Ledgerwood and Lockie, for 18 years. His practice included obstetrics, full- family medical practice and pediatrics and infant care. Dr. Lockie undertook the FLEX examinations for licensing in California in 1982 and relocated to San Diego, California. He joined Bradt & Lillie in a full family practice, initially including obstetrics. Thereafter, he joined Encompass Family Physicians Medical Group in 1994 and continues to be a member of this group. Dr. Lockie is on active staff at Alvarado Hospital and courtesy staff at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He has been medical director of Montevista Village Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living in Lemon Grove since 1983, as well as well as acting as assistant medical director of Lemon Grove Rehab and Convalescent Facility since 2010. Dr. Lockie is currently in practice with Dr. Robert Lajvardi in LaMesa, CA. You can count on Dr. Lockie to provide highly professional care with a thorough and compassionate approach.
